Welcome to Lumière Dormitory, Floor 3. My name is Imelda Rivera, and I will be your Resident Assistant for this floor. I will be staying in room 306. If you need me for anything, do not hesitate to knock.

Before we start the semester, I want to lay down the ground rules for this floor. Please read over the following carefully:

Floor Rules

• Destructive magic is prohibited. Your classrooms are much better equipped to handle the fallout when you inevitably blow a hole in the wall. Practice over there, not here.
• Pets are allowed. Be sure to clean up after them. This includes magical pets, non-magical pets, and familiars. If they damage Daybreak Academy or student property, I will expect you to take responsibility.
• No illegal substances. This should go without saying. Adhere to all local laws governing tobacco, alcohol, and other substances. If I catch you breaking this rule, you will not like the consequences.
• No excessive noise. This is a residence hall, and you are here to study. I expect you to be respectful of your neighbor's right to a peaceful environment.
• Curfew is midnight from Sunday to Thursday. If you expect to be out later than this, inform me before you leave.
• Adhere to your roommate agreement. If you have a roommate, I have attached a roommate agreement form. Discuss the expectations that you have for one another. When you are finished, write down your expectations, sign the form, and bring it to me. I will expect you to adhere to these rules throughout the semester. Turning in a blank agreement will not be acceptable.
• Vandalism and theft will not be tolerated. No exceptions.
